Condition Description:
This is a good condition watch but is a far departure from anything you could consider an original watch. This is a mod created by essentially porting the dial of a damaged Heuer 1000 Dial into a old swiss army watch. The donor case is of very high quality stainless steel and sapphire making the watch feel substantial yet slim. Damage to this watch is everywhere. The dial was water damaged and has created a fascinating pattern and look to the dial. The case has lots of scratches, marks and mild dings. It has a new Ronda 515 movement inside from when I finished the watch a few months ago. It also features a customized handset that I made to match the watch which are made from Invicta hands with espresso staining. If you have any questions about this watch, please send me a message!

Heuer 1000 Super Patina Explorer Mod
Significance:
The Tag Heuer 1000 was in a way, the watch that saved Heuer. In the 1970's (prior to the conception of Tag Heuer) Heuer was a mechanical watch and stop watch company. When the quartz revolution began and revolutionized the accuracy of watches, Heuer lost a lot of business to the competition, to fix this issue Heuer created the Series 1000. It was the raging success that they needed and the watch was produced for many years after its initial release . Many variants were released over the 1000's production run, everything from mechanical versions to colored versions.
